Description
The Ultrasonic Sonar Sensor (HC-SR04) is a reliable and high-precision distance measuring module widely used in robotics and automation projects. It works by emitting ultrasonic sound waves at 40kHz and calculating the time taken for the echo to return, allowing accurate distance measurement.
This sensor supports a measuring range of 2cm to 400cm with an accuracy of ±3mm, making it ideal for obstacle avoidance robots, smart automation systems, water level monitoring, parking sensors, and educational projects.
The HC-SR04 features a simple 4-pin interface (VCC, Trig, Echo, GND) and can be easily interfaced with popular microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. For 3.3V logic boards like ESP32 and STM32, a voltage divider is recommended for the Echo pin.
This module is widely used by students, hobbyists, and professionals in robotics and IoT development due to its low cost, ease of use, and stable performance. DROBAN
